REVLON
ColorBurst Lip Butter
Raspberry Pie

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter Raspberry Pie is another must buy from Revlon's lip butter range. Though this product is in the market for a quite some time now but for me this one is really a new add on to my collection. I have been wearing this lip butter for the past few weeks and here goes my review on it.

Quantity: 2.55 gm
Price: 600 INR
Shelf Life: 3 years from the date of manufacture

Now what Revlon says about the Colorburst lip butters :
  •  Buttery Balm + Shiny Color
  • Buttery balm with beautiful shiny color to give you baby soft, healthy glowing lips94% of women felt lips were softer, smoother, and instantly hydrated.
  • Hydrating mango, shea and coconut butter formula boosts lip moisture by 156%
  • Pampering gel formula provides super charged hydration and glides on lips buttery smooth
  • Sheer to medium colour with buttery shine
  • Available in 20 luscious shades
Color:
Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter Raspberry Pie is a medium fuchsia pink with tiny bright pink shimmer. The actual color of the lip stain is more brighter than the body color of this lip pencil. Though the pink is very bright on lips, but if used with nude or natural peachy lip color, it will look great on lips. And one more good thing about this lip balm is that you can build-up the color by layers.

 Texture:
The texture of this Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain Love Sick lip balm stain feels a little dry but it glides smoothly on lips after you roll it twice or thrice on your lips. It would be even better if you warm up your lips with fingers after you apply this lip balm stain, coz this will help you to set the lip balm more properly and your lips will feel hydrated. For extremely dry lips always use a lip moisturiser before you apply it... or a lip gloss afterwards for  shiny glossy look.

Coverage:
It has semi sheer coverage and semi-matte finish. But no issues if you have pigmented lips, you just have to apply it two to three times.

Pigmentation: The pigmentation is awesome and very long lasting. You can wear this lip balm layer by layer for bright hot pink lips or can wear it as a lip stain.

Fragrance: It has a strong mint fragrance which I really hate coz whenever I take a sip of water or something else I only get a minty flavour in it. I wonder what makes them put a mint flavour
in a lip balm.

Color lasting power: It has a good staying power. If you apply it properly (as suggested with your finger tip) it will stay for at least 3 to 4 hours even if you eat or drink in between.

Packaging:
The packagng of the Revlon lip balm stain is similar to the CLINIQUE'S chubby lip colors. These lip pencils are very easy to use. You don't need to sharpen them, just twist the bottom and use it. The packagng is very much purse friendly and gest easily into the purse. Overall the packaging is cute and user-friendly.

What I like about REVLON ColorBurst Lip Butter Raspberry Pie:
  • Gorgeous pretty pink color looks sexy on lips
  • Nice shade of fuchsia pink color which goes well with all kind of skin tone
  • Perfect summer color
  • Moisturies lips pretty well
  • Does not get dry on lips
  • Semi sheer coverage, good for pigmented lips too
  • Smooth matty in texture
  • Not heavy on lips
  • Amazing pigmentation and stain power
What I did not like about REVLON ColorBurst Lip Butter Raspberry Pie:
  • Strong mint scent
  • Not good for dry chapped lips
  • I think it is little bit pricey

My Experience with REVLON ColorBurst Lip Butter Raspberry Pie:
I have been using it for the past few weeks and I am quite liking it. But I won't say that it's the best lip balm stain ever in the market coz I hate its minty smell and It doesn't work very well on dry chapped lips. Though my lips are not so dry, so I am not having any issues with it. But in spite of these two drawbacks I am impressed with their whole 12 range of shades. Overall I am really enjoying these colors and I am looking forward to buy few more shades from this range.
